The Annapolis Chamber Players (ACP) specializes in mixed chamber music for winds, strings, and piano. Unlike homogeneous chamber groups, such as a string quartet or woodwind quintet, ACP’s diverse instrumental colors and flexible instrumentation offers a variety of musical colors and styles. Our eclectic programs feature standard and lesser-known repertoire from the 18th through 21st century. Composed of some of the finest Baltimore-Washington,
DC area musicians, ACP’s core members have been collaborating for more than 15 years.
The Annapolis Chamber Players are launching our summer chamber music festival, the Annapolis Chamber Music Project, July 12-17, 2015. This week-long event is geared toward music lovers of all ages. Students ages 12-18 (Grades 6-12) as well as adult amateurs who play standard orchestral instruments can participate in Master Classes, performance classes, lessons, small ensemble coaching sessions, and recitals. FREE Lunchtime Concerts will be open to the public.
A limited number of spaces are available. Participants must be able to perform at a minimum of Level 3-4 (Intermediate). Chamber music groups will be formed based on age, playing ability, and completion of a placement audition.
