Schubert Soirée
Sunday June 4, 2017 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Please join the Annapolis Chamber Players for our Schubert Soirée.
We are excited to finally perform Franz Schubert’s popular, glorious and seldom heard Octet in F, Op. 166 for clarinet, French horn, bassoon, 2 violins, viola, cello and contrabass in an intimate and historic setting for which it was intended.
Written in 1824, the Octet was commissioned by Ferdinand, Count Troyer, a clarinetist who was musical friends with Archduke Rudoph of Austria. This full-program chamber-music gem features Schubert’s expansive and lush Romantic melodies in this light and entertaining work not to be missed.
Reception to follow.
