7th annual Classics & Gems concert.
Composers draw inspiration from many sources. Maybe it is love, art, nature, or even mathematical equations. The options are endless. “Stage and Screen” features three piano trios that are inspired by different forms of theater. Danzi’s Sinfonia Concertante, Op. 41 for Flute, Clarinet & Piano’ Nino Rota’s Trio for Clarinet, Cello & Piano; and Beethoven’s Trio in D major, Op. 70, No. 1 “Ghost.” Whether it is opera, film or Shakespeare, the magic of theater is in the music.
